Budgie & Boo ReviewBudgie and Boo were very different from one another in many ways, but as we all know opposites do attract. Budgie was a bear who grew flowers and Boo was a bunny who grew veggies. They worked hard to tend their gardens and after a while they "decided to be the best of friends." They lived in a quaint little cottage adjacent to their vegetable and flower gardens. Budgie was a quiet sleeper and Boo was a snorer, but one night their sleep was interrupted. "PLINK!" All of a sudden Boo was wide awake and made sure his friend didn't sleep through the excitement.
Budgie turned on his flashlight and found another drop of water getting ready to plink on his friend's nose and had to get out of bed to push Boo's bed out of the line of fire. Later that afternoon Boo, the fixer upper of the household, climbed on the roof and was going to fix the roof. Budgie was in charge of getting the tools. Up went a rake. No, a rake wouldn't do the trick. Up went a shovel. No, a shovel wouldn't do the trick. Was Budgie going to get the right equipment so Boo could fix that roof? It probably wouldn't matter because friends are friends through thick and thin (and that roof was quite thin in spots!).
This is an endearing story of friendship. The beautiful, colorful and detailed drawings of these friends and their home lend a great deal of charm to the tale. The story itself seemed to impart the message that no matter what, your friends will always be there to lend a hand and support you. This warm and loving tale would be a perfect choice to cuddle up with your little one and read at bedtime!Budgie & Boo Overview
