Kottas on Dressage ReviewI really enjoy reading this book. It is apparent that Kottas loves horses and i truly respect his focus on groundwork and lunging. This is something which is frequently lost in riding lessons in the US. However, being somewhat a newer rider I didn't get quite as much out of his examples as a more knowledgeable rider would get.
Things for me need to be more broken down. But that is my insufficiency, not the books', as it is clearly geared towards the more advanced rider. I do like that it is broken down precisely into problems and their solving as well as what to do when the response is not the "expected" one. That way, one also learns the possible other "400" ways of how a horse can respond.
