Sammy Salami ReviewI read this book and I was simply CHARMED. This fat little salami slinging kitty is sure to make every kid fall in love with him. First Pete Popolis adopts this scrawny little trash scrounger and finds he just loves his company and notices that his days at his diner are a lot better since he brought him in even the customers can't help but feed the kitty but Pete is still overwhelmed with the weight of running the diner alone and needs a vacation! So he decides to take the weekend off head off into the mountains and leave Sammy behind with a big dish of food and tells him he'll be back soon but of course Sammy doesn't get it and ventures outside to watch Pete board the train and of course since hes so fat he can't get back in through the kitty door! So Sammy in the end gets himself mixed up with someone new but it ends up being the perfect thing for everyone and Sammy ends up a matchmaker in the end and everyone is happy!
